AEB CLEBRATES ITS FIRST ANNIVERSARY
On November 30, 2024, the Association of Evangelicals in Burundi (AEB) commemorated its first anniversary at the King’s Conference Center in Bujumbura. The celebration brought together distinguished guests, including
Rev. Dr. Frank Hinkelmann, Vice Chair of the World Evangelical Alliance’s International Council, along with church leaders and representatives from organizations such as World Vision and World Relief.
During the event, Rev. Audace Baraduhama presented AEB’s Strategic Plan for 2025, outlining the association’s priorities and initiatives for the coming year. General Secretary Edmund Gakiza reflected on the journey of the AEB since its inception in November 2023, recognizing the contributions of key individuals who played a significant role in the formation of the organization.
Dr. Master O. Matlhaope, Secretary General of the Association of Evangelicals in Africa (AEA), offered his congratulations, highlighting the impact the AEB has already made in its first year. He stated:
“This anniversary is a testament to the vision and dedication of your leadership, as well as the unity of your members. In just one year, AEB has emerged as a beacon of light in Burundi, promoting unity and creating meaningful impact in the nation. AEA is honored to support and celebrate your commitment to God’s mission.”
The celebration concluded with prayers, fellowship, and a ceremonial cake-cutting. As it moves into its second year, AEB continues to focus on spreading the Good News and promoting transformative initiatives across Burundi.
