The Association of Evangelicals in Burundi serves as the National Umbrella organization for Evangelical and Pentecostal Churches in Burundi. It was established in 2023 and received official recognition as a nonprofit organization from the government of Burundi in June 2024.

 Our organization is a member of the Association of Evangelicals in Africa, affiliated with the World Evangelical Alliance. The WEA represents the world’s estimated 700 million evangelical Christians.

Our New Name

We are pleased to announce that we are now officially known as the Association of Evangelicals for Holistic Development in Burundi. In accordance with government regulations, which require that new organizations obtain legal approval when their names relate to development, we adopted this name to reflect our commitment to both spiritual transformation—through evangelism, discipleship, and the training of Burundi’s Christian leaders—and community development.

For brevity, we will continue to use AEB (Association of Evangelicals in Burundi) as our abbreviated name.
