On Monday 14th September 2026, staff members of AEB Burundi, together with guests from the UK and Uganda, Visited children and families from Mpanda Commune as part of AEB's support for vulnerable children from the Batwa community.

The initiative helps children who have never started school or who had to drop out because of poverty to enroll or return to school. During the visit, AEB provided support for school items like: uniforms, books, notebooks, pens, socks, shoes, and school bags. 

The children and their parents expressed great joy and gratitude for the support. For many families, poverty had made education seem out of reach. The visit was therefore an encouraging reminder that every child deserves an opportunity to learn, grow and build a better future. 

AEB is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the education and well-being of these children and their families.
